Our Story

The idea stems from Arun's experience moving from Saint Louis to Ann Arbor. His initial plan was to book a shipping container and do the loading himself.

While looking for help with unloading, he found an Ann Arbor company who was moving someone to Saint Louis during the same time frame. Instead of driving home an empty truck, they offered Arun a discounted move - a win-win!

Our goal is to recreate this for other shippers and carriers. That’s why we formed Backlode.
